If you are looking for a career in politics, public policy, foreign affairs, international development, diplomacy or national security, Washington, D.C. is the place for you.

This 16-week TFAS program track is ideal for students who are passionate about global and domestic issues and are looking to gain the professional experience needed to break into these competitive fields. Spending a full semester in the Nation’s Capital allows students to fully immerse themselves at their internships and feel like a real Washington insider by the end of the semester.

  • 14-week internship placement in the field of international affairs or public policy (embassy, NGO, policy group, federal agency, Congressional office)
  • Coursework in international economics and government designed to complement your real-world experience
